I forget to persist, I persist to forget

I persist to forget,
I forget to persist

Notes on memory, permanence, and latency

Polly Palmerini works with text and image in 'I persist to forget, I forget to persist', trying to make sense of the latent forms and words left from a dream. Exploring what is missing, displaced or disconnected between present time and the latency of memory. The work aims to look for traces of repressed experiences, moments which are often transcribed, taken back out as 'reports', re-worded and re-formed through conversations with friends.

She organises pictures and text loosely through different book forms, to allow the viewer to create their own connections in the creation of non-linear investigations and considering the malleably of words and memory.
