Seeing something we usually can only hear. ‘See Sound’ explored 3D shaping, the visualisation of sound and the shapes, which can be created from it. I explored my own personal interaction with sound, visualising sound by recording and mark-making in the darkroom. As an alternative, I created a series of renders whose aim was to capture the viewer’s interest through the originality and strangeness of each piece.

The final result of this project is three tracing paper books, which show the slow rotation movement of the three sounds: a sneeze, a screech and a hiccup.

It is a simple demonstration of these sounds, as if they were paper gifs.
