I forget to persist, I persist to forget

Notes on memory, permanence and latency

“I persist to forget, I forget to persist’, plays with the recollections left from a dream; exploring what is displaced or disconnected between the present time and the latency of memory with text and image. Looking for traces of repressed experiences, moments which are often transcribed as 'reports', re-worded and re-formed through conversations with friends. The pictures and words are loosely organised through different book forms, allowing the creation of new connections, through non-linear investigations around the malleability of words and memory. They unravel like a rebus or a puzzle, which ultimately is always missing a piece — between the space of persistence and forgetting.
